On the day we will bring everything needed to your home or accommodation so that you can enjoy your day and feel confident and calm. We cater for bridal parties large and small, and have a team of highly qualified amazing makeup and hair artists that we can draw upon when required.
We always recommend a trial in the weeks leading up to your wedding. This allows us to come up the look you desire without all the pressure of the day, making the big day as calm and enjoyable as possible.
Every bride deserves to look their best on their wedding day, and here are my suggestions for you to be looking your best on one of the greatest and possibly the most photographed day of your life.
Book a Trial
A hair and makeup trial does more than just help you settle on your look, and is extremely helpful for both you and your makeup artist. Leaving you feeling happy and confident in the knowledge than you’ll be looking just the way you want on the big day. You’ll be able to experiment with a few different styles and try different products.
Things to consider before your trial…
- Wear a similar coloured shirt to your wedding dress, and maybe a bit of jewellery, so that you’ll be able to get a better picture of how your whole look will come together. If you already have your veil, then bring that too, along with any other hair accessories you may want to use.
- Come to your trial with washed, clean and dry hair, and no makeup on. If you plan on having a spray tan on the day, make sure that your makeup artist knows this prior to your wedding day.
Collect a bunch of images, and examples. Go crazy on Pinterest, and find a number of different references that you can discuss with your hair stylist or makeup artist. It’s so much better to start with an idea of what you want.
Consider the Season
The temperature, humidity and wind can greatly affect how your hair and makeup will behave on the big day, especially if you will be outdoors. It’s worth mentioning to your hair and makeup artist the particulars of the ceremony and reception.
Leave Enough Time
It’s really important to know how much time you will have to get ready on the day. Discuss this with you hair and makeup artist, and they will be able to guide you through what they think is an adequate amount of time, so that there is no last minute panics.
